“In my classroom black and latin children love each other. I would like it to be the same with the adults. I wish the adults had the heart of a child.” – Katherine Xina Quinteros, 3rd Grade, Hillcrest Drive Elementary

“I do not like to see homeless people sleeping on the streets, digging in trashcans and begging for money. It makes me feel sad because they seem alone and hungry. I wish I could have a lot of money to give to the homeless and stop homelessness. It is hard to imagine that even children are also living on the streets. How can we have let this happen? I have a dream that everyone will get together: schools, churches, communities and businesses to help the poor. Everyone deserves to have a home no matter what.” - Anthony Roque, 3rd Grade, Transfiguration Catholic School

“My dream one day is to become an entomologist. Which means the study of bugs and a scientist. I have a dream to become a scientist so that I can create a medicine that can eliminate cancer, HIV, AIDS and other illnesses that you can die from. I also have a dream to become an entomologist so that I can study and save the bugs in my community. Last but not least I have a dream that one day my community and neighborhood will stop fighting. A couple of months ago my auntie was talking to a guy and the next thing you know the guy was shot in the back of the head. Finally, I hope this nation will be one under God with liberty and justice for all. “ – Isis Emani Goodrich, 4th Grade, Tom Bradley Elementary School
